Memories of New Year's Day 2000 .... and St. Michael's Mount, holy place of legends and mysteries, built by giants. On that day, everybody in this far western outpost of Cornwall was revelling in extraordinary winter sunshine. Spirits were high, fresh start and all that. The Mount reposed magestically on the horizon watching the new century awaken .... a day never to be forgotten ....
