The name Kerfissien at Cléder in north Finistère, seduced me. The ancient Maison des Douaniers still crouches vigilantly behind titanic granite boulders. Hypnotic and fatal crosscurrents and riptides swirl and broil. Rich Breton goemon lay strewn on white sand, blacky gleaming. A place that lives up to its name .... Kerfissien.
